Position Description: The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Information Technology Services is seeking an Oracle Report Developer with an exceptional commitment to service excellence to join the Ascend team. As the Report Developer, you will be an integral member of the Ascend team, will collaborate with the project functional and technical teams to design and build reports to support various business needs campus-wide, and to assure the overall data quality and performance of all reports produced for a financial domain for the Financial Transformation initiative.
This Oracle Report Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting various reports using Oracle Cloud Financial reporting tools. Responsibilities include hands-on work with reporting tools, managing reports that are part of outbound interface, administration of report scheduling, and working with business counterparts. This role is responsible for end-to-end implementation of the reporting solution for Oracle Financials which includes Out of the box reports and custom reports suiting to needs across Oracle Financial Needs.
General responsibilities include: Leverages business intelligence tools to design, develop, test, deliver metrics and reporting for the Ascend Program; Works with the functional and technical implementation teams to gather and interpret report specifications and identify data requirements; Participate in cross-functional discussions to analyze requirements and recommend solutions; Analyze requirements and envision appropriate solutions, with supplemental design documents; Develop and support Oracle Cloud Financials reports using Oracle provided reporting tools; Ensures ad-hoc reporting requests are captured, prioritized and where possible create standardized dynamic reports to meet ad hoc reporting needs; Responsible for sharing knowledge about reports and outbound integrations; Maintain Advanced level of skills on Oracle Financial Reporting tools; Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Oracle quarterly product updates and its impact on reports and outbound integrations; Support and monitor existing report processes; Build training documents and other supplementary aids for Reporting; Consistently applies organizational core values as it relates to; Encourages others to apply core values in work activities; Communicates effectively with colleagues, management, users and select stakeholders for assigned area; Uses effective, grammatically correct business writing and verbal communication skills to convey topics of moderate complexity.
Additionally, the Oracle Report Developer supports the vision for Technical Implementation Team and UCLA Financial transformation strategy and works closely with team members and management to implement and support effective solutions for development. Maintains current with technology, standards, and best practices. Supports process improvement efforts within the team and across the UCLA Financial transformation team.
