The ERP Analyst II, under the direction of a manager or above, assists in the design, development, and implementation software and integrations to support departmental processes and/or programs. Recommends policies and procedures to ensure effective technical coordination of departmental programs.
The ERP Analyst II is expected to
Provide upper tier technical support for the University ERP systems.
Monitor, maintain, develop, enhance, and patch University ERP integrated report, web, and integration solutions. Experience with all aspects of these solution implementations including automations and automation scheduling, required scripting for automation, integration and data loads, data models and schemas, and web development.
Proven competency working with cloud and on-premises technology for development, integration, and reporting, including object oriented and procedural programming languages, query languages, markup languages, scripting, and web services.
Proven competency working with specialized tools for development, integration, and reporting including integrated development environments (IDEs), code editors, terminal emulators, and API development tools.
Perform intermediate business analysis, discovering and documenting business technical processes in an easy-to-understand manner; compile, summarize and present information for stakeholders and executives using industry standard methods.
Participate in requirements gathering, translating customer needs into actionable development specifications. Familiarity with agile principles for prioritizing and delivering work. Experience working with using agile methods and tools to drive faster, higher quality delivery.
Spearhead technical quality assurance efforts for the University ERP and its integrated solutions. Write technical, operational, and usage documentation for solutions. Develop and conduct testing plans for solutions. During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.
An ERP Analyst II will be expected to intermediate to advanced experience with database query building and programming, including
SQL, TSQL, PL/SQL
query building and tuning
package, procedure, and function development
DDL and DML script generation
use of standard Oracle web development and file i/o packages.
An ERP Analyst II will need to have experience web development fundamentals
UI, UX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
An ERP Analyst II will have experience with several of the following technologies and require at least familiarity with:
Azure Data Engineering toolsets including Azure Functions and Logic Apps, SQL Server including SSIS and SSRS, PL/SQL, Linux and Bash shell scripting, RESTful web services and JSON, XML/XSLT, Linux commands and BASH/ksh scripting
An ERP Analyst II will have experience with several of the following tools and require at least familiarity with:
Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, TOAD, Postman.
An ERP Analyst II will have experience developing for, integrating with, and supporting one or more of the following ERP platforms:
Workday HCM, Financials, Planning, Student – business objects, data model, integration toolset
Ellucian Banner Human Resources, Finance, Accounts Receivable, Student, Financial Aid – database schema, jobs, on premise administrative components.
An ERP Analyst II may work with additional cloud-based development platforms including Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, or Salesforce and experience with these is a plus.
